Trends and Determinants of Disputes: A Study of selected Indian Manufacturing Industries

The changes in the labour market after the introduction of reforms have brought many changes in the industrial relations in the Indian manufacturing sector. The present paper is an attempt to study the trends of industrial conflict which is represented by disputes, strikes and lockouts. The paper covers eight manufacturing industries. An investigation is also done to study the reasons for the occurrence of disputes in these industries.
