Abstract

Religion can save the environment. Though this is a controversial statement in some cases but the proofs are present. Sacred Suriya Pahar of Assam is a sacred hill and it’s very interesting due to its multi-religion identities. Due to the sacred belief of local people, the biodiversity of this hill is saving properly and the historical rock-cut art has become an area of interest to the tourists. Now, the sacred identity and the rock-cut art of this hill can be used for the well-being approach of floral and faunal groups to save them. We can promote the concept of Sustainable Development to generate sustainable tourism here. The environmental culture of civilization can be highlighted to save nature and in this way, SD-15 and SDG-3 both may be highlighted.
