Socio-Economic and Political Issues: A Case Study in the Englishbazar Municipality

An attempt has been made to explore the urban development and political issues of Malda Distric of West Bengal special case study on English Bazar Municipality. The concept of development lies in the both qualitative and quantitative process of dimension. To improvement of living standards, established new technology, adoption the new institution etc are also indicators of the urban development. Malda district established in the year 1813 and it was southernmost district. Englishbazar Municipality was established in 1868 of British period. Englishbazar Municipality is an urban area in the Malda district. Urban development is depend on the literacy rate, transportation facilities, sources of income, growth of super market and business, industries, administrative branches, and so on. In this article experimented about the present scenario of urban development in Englishbazar Municipality.
