Abstract

Modern India owes much to the practice of yoga, which has played a crucial part in the country's progress. Breath work, bodily postures, and mental discipline are only a few of the ways in which yoga may alter a person's physiology. Between 3000 and 5000 years ago, the Indian subcontinent became the birthplace of Yoga as a philosophical and scientific discipline. Yoga, which originated in India many centuries ago, has been shown to have positive effects on mental health and has been shown to help pupils focus better, remember more, and learn more effectively. The government of India has been pushing yoga as a tool for the country's progress because of the widespread belief that it is good for people's health. India is capitalizing on the rise in popularity of medical tourism by simultaneously developing a thriving yoga tourism sector. Several people credit yoga with helping them find themselves, and it's even been used as an adjunct to cancer therapy. Hence, it's clear that yoga has the potential to greatly improve people's health and happiness, which in turn may help India progress as a nation.
