Abstract

India, in the regard has unique position in the world, where a number of traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy are practiced. Now a day there is an increasing trend in the use of local plant-based remedies on one side and severe depletion of traditional knowledge on using the local people on the hand. The present paper is focus on the ethnobotanical and ethnomedicinal plants used by tribal communities in the area, for curing mouth ulcer. First-hand information is reported by local people along with their local formulation. The present paper contains near about 3 plant species collected from local region of warud Tahsil. Warud Tahsil is located eastern end of Amravati District. The forest type in Warud Tahsil is dry deciduous exists in satpuda hilly tract connecting Maharashtra and Madhyapradesh state (India).
