Environmental Awareness through Education: A Conceptual Framework

The paper emphases that man and environment have deep relationship. The development of our civilization, culture, traditions and science etc. can be understood through the environmental education. It is such a process of education in which such experiences are provided to students by which he can get the knowledge of environment, understanding, skill and awareness and can develop interests and develop the relationship between human condition and nature. The education of the environment places a focus on making individuals aware of the circumstances and warns the world community against environmental problems, so that instead of their rising overuse, conservation places an emphasis on the wise and balanced use of the resources. Ecological imbalance can be reduced by integrating environmental education that can be taught either in a formal or informal setting.
