| Abstract | ||
Entrepreneurship acts as a catalyst for the economic prosperity of a nation as it leads to generation of employment, contribution in national income, rural development, industrialization, technological development, export promotion, etc. A strong entrepreneurial sector can provide significant boost to India‟s economic growth. A change is being witnessed today nationwide with respect to the scenario in entrepreneurial growth. Many new-age entrepreneurs today don't come from traditional business families. It is in line with this statement that role of Entrepreneurship Development programs in India is crucial. The paper attempts to study the various programs initiated by government of India in the recent years to promote entrepreneurship in the country with special reference to startups. The paper also aims to analyze the effect of various measures adopted by the government on the entrepreneurial scenario in the country. |
