Empirical Study of Prevalence of Tendency of Plagiarism among Academicians and Students

Abstract

The present paper aims to examine the perception of academic fraternity about the increasing tendency of plagiarism. The study collected the responses of academicians from the education institutes and applied SPSS software to examine the responses of the target respondents. Descriptive statistics were used to examine the data. The study finds that academicians go for research for their promotions in career. The study suggest that universities should aim to implement plagiarism policies in their research work of their scholars. It will help in encouraging the original research work of the universities.
