| Abstract | ||
SirJ.C. Bose was born in 1870 in Bengal now in Bangladesh .His father was a magistrate and a leader of brahmo samaj. Received natural science tripos from the University of Cambridge and a B.Sc from the University of London in 1884 .His contribution to physics, botany and natural science are many. Bose made a remarkable contribution to the theory of microwave He ignited gun powder and rang a bell at a distance in 1894. He stated that invisible light can easily pass through brick walled buildings. His demonstration of remote wireless signaling has priority over Marconi. According to Mott, Boss was 60 years ahead of his time. He is considered as father of radio science. He was elected fellow of Royal Society in 19 20 .He is the doyen of Indian scientists. |
