| Abstract | ||
This paper explores Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) 1st year Students‟ Attitudes towards Writing in Urdu, to gain knowledge and insight into their Attitudes towards Writing in Urdu. The study also explores into the level of Attitude towards Writing in Urdu. 75 D.El.Ed. first year students of 2018-20 batch enrolled in the Department of Education and Training, MANUU, Hyderabad, were selected as sample for data collection. The hypotheses were tested by an Attitude scale, which was administered to D.El.Ed. 1st year students. The study reveals that Overall Attitude towards Writing in Urdu of D.El.Ed. Students are very encouraging and this is conducive for their writing. Out of the six variables chosen for the study only 2 of them, i) Medium of Instruction at +2 level, and ii) Mother Tongue have a significant effect on the D.El.Ed. Students, Attitude towards Writing in Urdu. The remaining four chosen variables for study i) Gender, ii) Type of Institution they studied in at +2 level, iii) Highest Educational Qualification, and iv) Stream of Study do not have a bearing on D.El.Ed. Students, Attitude towards Writing in Urdu. |
