| Abstract | ||
Based on historical and cultural links, India and Afghanistan have a close friendship. The relationship is founded on past encounters and interactions between the citizens and is not limited to the governments in New Delhi and Kabul. The Strategic Partnership Agreement signed by the two countries in 2011 has improved immensely Indo-Afghan ties. As Afghanistan went through three simultaneous political, defence, and economic transformations in 2016, India assuaged its worries about the country's future by promising a long-term commitment to the country's security and growth. India with the PM Modi Government focusing more on Afghanistan to achieve its constructive initiatives. |
