| Abstract | ||
A good level of growth in development can be observed during the last two decades where the role of foreign direct investment can’t be denied. Hence, this FDI has now become the symbol of development for a number of countries. During early nineties, Indian economy was suffering from financial crisis. At that time, due to ongoing gulf war, the petrol prices were on the peak. Indian economy was debilitating due to external debts. Hence, in 1991, Indian government allowed the inflow of FDI so that the confidence of the foreign investors can be restored. FDI is very helpful for the strength of the Indian economy as it deals with the foreign currencies. FDI is also beneficial for the common people of a nation as it brings a number of opportunities of employment for them. The current paper highlights the various prospects of FDI in Indian market. |
