This paper deals with character arc of three characters in the novel You Only Live Once of Stuti Changle. The paper analyses, how Alara, Aarav and Ricky go through transformations which changes their lives. This inner transformation is monumental and path-breaking in their lives. The paper presents the characters of the novel in the context of carpe diem (seize the day) and character arc (development of the character). The end of the novel invokes anagnorisis through which lives of the leading characters get resolved and they get a new direction with stability in their respective lives. |
