Occupational allergies represent a significant concern, impacting the health and well-being of workers in various industries. Among the diverse array of occupational allergens, plant-derived allergens have gained attention due to their prevalence and potential adverse effects. Occupational exposure to plant-derived allergens poses a significant health risk to workers in various industries, such as agriculture, horticulture, food processing, and pharmaceuticals. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the identification, exposure, and management of plant-derived allergens in occupational settings. This review paper aims to explore the identification, exposure, and management of plant-derived allergens in occupational settings. It discusses the sources, mechanisms of sensitization, and common occupational sectors associated with plant allergen exposure. Furthermore, it provides an overview of diagnostic methods, preventive measures, and management strategies to mitigate the risk of plant-derived allergies in the workplace. |
