Abstract

In contemporary societies majority of people seem to talking about stress and its various consequences. In the modern world of 21st century “stress” is termed as the “disease of century” as it is believed to cause more ailments than anything known to modern medicine. Stress on individuals ranges from personal day-to-day life to their organizational activities. Stress has been on a rise in this era of high-technology speed, global competition and consumerism. Taking its toll on the physical and psychological health of the employees, it is affecting the productivity and functioning of an organization. This article is a discussion on the occupational factors affecting job stress of bank employees.
