| Abstract | ||
The present paper throws focuses on impact of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MANREGA) on rural life, it‟s a one of employment development work of the villages whereas village people are having employment opportunity in the own village. MANREGA is an Indian low that aims to guarantee the right to work and ensure livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work without any gender bias in the work and as well as wages. As a consequence of the scale of the scheme, there are some issues raises during the implementation in the villages such as quality of labour budget planning, duplication of works and time lag in monitoring of works etc. The study tries to highlight this issue and what type of the social changes find among village communities. |
