Jaish e Mohammed Chief Mohammed Masood Azhar Alvi Declared Global Terrorist by the UNSC- Its Impact

Finally United Nations Security Council declared Masood Azhar- the Chief of JeM as a global terrorist on 1st May, 2019. It seems to be a huge diplomatic win for India, which was the outcome more than one decade process. The declaration was made under UNSC Sanctions Committee Resolution 1267. As a result of which travel ban, asset freeze and arms embargo etc. shall be imposed upon the JeM Chief immediately by the member States of UNSC. Accordingly Pakistan should demonstrate their commitment before FATF in the next Plenary held in the month of September, 2019.
