Growth of MSME in India and Their Contribution in Employment and GDP of the Country

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSME) are credited with generating highest rate of employment growth, accounting for a major share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a coun-try. They also play a key role in development of economies with their effective, efficient, flexible and innovative spirit. Socio- economic policies adopted by the country have led stress on MSME. In this paper detailed analysis have been made to understand the growth of MSMEs and their contribution in the GDP and employment generation in the country.
