Abstract

Stress inoculation training intervention was designed by Meichenbaum in which a mild stressor is introduced to the students so that the immunity against stress is build up in similar way as immunity against disease is build by inoculating the virus in the body. The intervention has 3 phases and varieties of techniques are used such as meditation, guided imagery, constructive narratives and relaxation exercises etc. For the present study, the researcher observed the effect of stress inoculation training on the stress of students by using pre-test post-test single group design to collect the data. The data was analyzed using t-test and ANCOVA. The results showed that stress inoculation training has statistically significant effect on the stress scores of the students. The stress scores of the students decreased after the intervention.
