Educational Scenario in Ananthapuramu District of Andhra Pradesh

The educational development of any community largely depends on the socio-economic environment in which it is living. It is especially true in case of Scheduled Castes, who at the lowest rung of the society. Hence, an attempt is made in this paper to present a socio-economic, demographic and educational profile of Ananthapuramu district, which is the most backward district in the state as well as India. The paper presents the educational profile of the district.
