| Abstract | ||
In the present classroom situation, English subject especially grammar is being taught only for the sake of examination purpose, even students are learning just to pass the exams rather than learning. Due to several cause and effect identified in teaching English, the researcher has made an attempt to provide solution for the existing problem. In pertaining to this, self instructional material acts as a bridging gap between teacher and a student. The fact has revealed from many research studies that self instructional (software) material helps them to learn in an easier and effective way. In fact these materials provide hands on experience in their learning. Hence the researcher has made an attempt to achieve the following framed objectives, they are: i) to analyze and finalize the content for developing the material. ii) to develop branching programmed software material in English. iii) to finalize the developed material for a final treatment. With several approaches with the software designer, the researcher developed the software material and the same were finalized with the experts. Afterwards the same material is used for group tryout. |
