| Abstract | ||
This paper is about cybercrime which is the fastest growing area of crime in the world and cyber law. Cybercrime consists of illegal activity conducted on a computer and internet. Computers as well as person both are the victim of cybercrime. Criminals are taking the help of fast internet speed and convenience provided by the internet users in performing different types of cybercrimes. Different types of cyber crimes are crime against individual, property or the government, any crime related to information theft, hacking, virus, Trojan attack, stealing money while transactions, Cyber Defamation, E-mail harassment etc. Cyber crime is increasing day by day due to the increasing number of internet users. So, it is the duty of each and every person who uses internet to be aware of the cyber crime and the cyber law made to deal with cyber crimes. In this paper, I have discussed the types of cyber crime, which can help people to identify the crime that they have been victim of. In this paper, I have discussed the cyber law, its awareness program, Information Technology Act, 2000 and Indian Penal Code, 1860 that was made to deal with cyber crimes. |
