Caste –Wise Number of Sample Households, Total Population and Population Characteristics in Village Mundhal Khurd

Abstract

‘A household’ is usually a group of persons who normally live together and like their meals from a common kitchen unless the exigencies of work prevent any of them from doing so. Persons in a household may be related or unrelated or a mix of both. However if a kitchen, they are not constituent of a common household. Each such person was treated as a separate household. The important link in the finding out whether it was a household two member households or multi –member households. The present paper deals with residential pattern, caste-wise number of population and households, caste-wise population characteristics andcaste-wise population in different age-groups in village MundhalKhurd. It is obvious from the total sample figures, taken for the study, indicate that there were 320 households (out of the total population 1606), including 53.55 per cent male and 46.45 per cent female. There were 12.76 per cent of the total population, belong to children/infant, age group, 0-6 years. There was 87.24 per cent of population, over 6 years including 53.68 per cent male and 46.32 per cent female. The Average sex ratio of the village, taken for the study is 867 females per 1000 males. The average household size was found 5 in the village MundhalKhurd.
