| Abstract | ||
This paper attempts to foreground the theoretical aspects of Brechtian theatre: the different terms used by Brecht himself to theorize about it, the limitations inherent in those terms and the difficulties of translating his theoretical concepts into practice. It also attempts to draw the relationship between certain key ideas in modernism and Brecht’s theatrical practice. |
