Abstract

Animated Cartoons are a form of audio-visual communication, that proved to be a helpful way by increasing language-learning skill. Many researchers have emphasized the psychological aspects of using animated cartoons as a teaching method. This paper further aims at the prominence of the pedagogical value of animated cartoons among youth, mostly for low-level language learners. In reality, animated cartoons have acted to be a good source of modified language input which despite the fact may need less cognitive processing for understanding. A study was conducted to determine the use of animated cartoons as an instruction tool in language-learning. As they might incorporate a new form of the language learning skills for low-level of language learners those who have not procured them yet. Suggestions were drawn from the usage for a pattern of animated cartoon characters as an effective technique to create interest and develop critical thinking.
