An Analysis of the Political Aspects of the Issue of Minorities in India

Present paper is an attempt to analyse the political aspects of the issues related to the minorities in India. Here, the people with lower numerical strength with a specific linguistic or religious orientations have been granted the minority status. As the jurisprudence of Indian constitution assures the equality before law and equal protection of law with the guarantee of secularism. But the whole political arena revolves around the pseudo secular dimension for the sake of vote bank. Most of the issues of the minorities are still un-addressed and they are also facing the problem of identity, cultural adjustment and accommodation.
