Air Quality Index(AQI) in Ahmedabad City, Gujarat, India

Air quality Index(AQI) in one of the best tool to provide air quality information to people. This study was carried out for a period of 2014-2015.Ahmedabad city is a megacity and awards were given for urban planning.Inspite of this Ahmedabad city is a one of the top five polluted cities in the country. World Health Organisation (WHO) released air pollution data and data showed that the Ahmedabad city ranks high in level of particulate matters (PM) of less than 2.5 microns.In this paper all the data were collected by day to day and time periods and also from different places of Ahmedabad city.This paper gives information to people about air pollution level and brings awareness about pollution related health problem and helps to reduce air pollution in the Ahmedabad city.
