Achievement Motivation of Students Studying in Arts and Commerce Stream and relation to their Gender

Achievement motive or need for achievement has been defined as a concern for doing well in relation to a standard and excellence.An attempt has been made to measure achievement motivation of 11th standard students with relation to their stream and gender. The sample consisted of 50 arts and 50 commerce students with equal numbers of boys and girls in Kadi city in Mehshana district. Achievment motivation inventory adopted by dr. jansari is used for data collection. The outcomes of the result revealed that there is no significant difference with their stream.
