Abstract

Gynocentrism refers to a dominant or exclusive focus on women in theory or practice; or to the advocacy of this. In short, anything which is concerned exclusively with a female (or specifically a feminist) point of view can be considered Gynocentric. In literature, Gynocentric theory has come into existence. Many female and male writers too have dealt with this theory in their literary works. Indira Goswami is one of those writers who deals with the theory of gynocentric theory in her novels. Ahiran is a novel, deals with the concrete gynocentric theory.
