| Abstract | ||
Purpose: This paper tries to: (i) Determine the labour working condition in relation with safety measure taken by employers of Small-scale industries in Indore. (ii) Determining the research gap in this area. Design/Methodology: The present study is descriptive cum analytical in nature. The study was undertaken in Indore whereby data from 100 respondents was gathered by technique namely simple random sampling by a way of first hand and secondary source of information as well. Null hypotheses were tested by using Linear Multiple Regression Model. Findings: The study revealed that some variables like precautions regarding health of workers in the factory, over-time payment policy of factory, per day working hours with sufficient breaks, etc. are showing positive impact while some variables has no effect on labour working condition. Implications: As a part CSR activities, SSI’s have responsibilities towards the protection of their workers. If labours are protected and kept satisfied, productivity will be leading to growth of industry and overall improvement of the economy. |
