The works of women writers makes us understand the depth into which the women diasporic writers have delved in the recent times to understand the cultural and political aspects of migration. People worldwide are now migrating from one nation to another for academic progress and professional success. However, the situation of women and the downtrodden in the diasporic context is distinctly different. The American dollar dream often makes people aspire to be on the American soil to realise their goals. This paper focusses on the immense amount of pain and anxiety manifested in the writings of the women diaspora writers ultimately making their experiences different from the male diasporic experience. |
