| Abstract | ||
Throughout one’s life, work and workplace in an organization holds a central place and prove decisive on many fronts. In theories and literature, work itself has been considered as a raisond’etre and source of motivation for employees. In this continuum, organizational commitment has long been studied in literature, resulting in various promoting and demoting factors. Quality of work life is one of the standalone and potent factors that sustain one’s motivation and commitment towards organization. Considering the quantum of the time one spent on the workplace, this review aims to synthesize the various researches and perspectives that has found a strong impact of work life on promoting organizational commitment. Further findings are discussed towards this end. |
