| Abstract | ||
With important leaders from the Eurasian region participating in high-level political conferences, the year 2018 is coming to a dramatic conclusion for India. From Indian President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Tajikistan to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visits to India and signing of dozens of agreements, and even Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s upcoming visit to India at the beginning of the following year. All of these events can, without a doubt, be interpreted as India’s growing desire to engage in diplomatic relations with the nations of Eurasia. India needs to maintain cordial bilateral relations with the countries within the Eurasian region because of Eurasia’s geostrategic location and the vast quantity of natural resources that can be found there. Nevertheless, there are more opportunities that India can pursue; before that can happen, many challenges need to be addressed. |
