| Abstract | ||
Poverty can be considered as a social phenomenon in which a section of society is unable to fulfill even its basic necessities of life. Multidimensional poverty Index (MPI) was developed in 2010 by the Oxford Poverty and Human development initiative (OPHI) and the United Nations Development Programme and uses different factors to determine poverty. For comparing the poverty condition of Bihar with different states of India will use the ten indicators given by Oxford University. The index uses the same three dimensions as the Human Development Index; health, education and standard of living. |
