Abstract

Potentially, online web resources could be of enormous value for teaching, learning and research purposes. However, finding, evaluating and facilitating access to this content brings many challenges with it. The paper seeks to understand the benefits and the concerns presented by the online web resources in the current times since the virtual libraries are evolving rapidly while the traditional ones are struggling for existence. The paper uses exploratory design to analyse the content of the most recent literature available online on the subject. It presents the positives and negatives that are already identified and discussed by the studies. Since the subject of online web resources from easy accessibility, expanded access to learning and technological difficulties is discussed by the academicians, scholars, and researchers of the concerned field. The paper collects, presents and sums up their viewpoints regarding the various issues related to e-resources. It concludes with the suggestions and recommendations that the studies propose thereof.
