An Analytical View of Early Punjab in the Historical Narratives

Abstract

The present paper provides an introduction geographical, political and social situation of early Punjab. The literary evidence has played a vital role in the reconstruction of the history of Punjab. We have discussed various issues of historical geography, political and social significance of Punjab in this paper. The Vedic literature followed by the Sutras, the Epics and the secular work like those of Panini has been discussed as also the writings of the Chinese travelers, in brief, but critical manner. Objectivity of the Study Reconstruct the Punjab from Vedic to Gupta period. Analyze and explain the what changes took place the history of Punjab in every aspect during this period. Methodology This study is based on both primary and secondary data collected from the various sources, according to our study period.The data are used in it purely both, according to the need for the study.
