Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to develop and understand the mediating effect of attitude on perceived usefulness and employees’ intention to use the HRIS in Business School. Perceived usefulness defined as using a specific application tool will enhances the user’s job or life performance. Attitude defines the extent to which the attitude of the user influences the actual usage of the system. Intention indicates the extent to which the user’s behaviour is inclined towards accepting the new technology. To analyse the relationship between the independent variable (IV), dependent variable (DV) and the mediating variable (MV), The Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used. Data was collected from 450 employees of various B’Schools using structured survey questionnaire. The results of the test revealed that the attitude of employees is partially mediating the relationship between perceived usefulness and intention to use HRIS tools.
